My mom and I went to take our dresses altered here per the recommendation of the shop where my mom bought her mother of the wedding dress. My bridesmaid dress was from Lulus and just needed to be shortened so I didn't think anything of it. I went with the shoes I plan to wear at the wedding and they chalked the length. However, when we went back to my first fitting, the left side of the dress was 2 inches off the ground whereas the front and right side of the dress were still touching the ground. When I pointed this out, they blamed the fabric of the dress (stretch jersey) and said they'll try again. At the second fitting, it didn't seem much better. The left side was still higher than the rest of the dress, and I was told to just adjust the dress at my waist. In fact, they started tugging the left side of my dress down and tried to tuck up the front and right side. I wish she did a blind hem rather than a straight cut of the fabric, especially if there were doubts symmetry... I may need to buy my bridesmaid dress again and go to another tailor or buy flat shoes because it's so noticeable. Sylvia did a good job with my mom's dress though, especially at the second fitting where she removed boning and focused on the details we called out to be fixed (loose beads and stitching from the first fitting).
