Yes, there is a fire pit on each site.
There is no ‘tent’ area. There are spaces where both RVs and tents can be. It is the exact pricing, regardless of which, and the same access and amenities irrespective of which. Likely that is due to the curfew, designed to keep homeless folk out, while minimizing instances of folks coming in after hours, them departing prior to a check in requirement, which would circumvent any payment. The grounds are very nice and well kept. There should be a way to do what is doable for folks in need.
I am looking forward to the tent cabins similar to the Camp Curry tent cabins in Yosemite, that are being built down along the Bay and should be open by next summer according to the park ranger I know that works there. I think it’s beautiful I think it’s an awesome location I will definitely go there even just a hike around but I really look forward to staying in the tent cabins when they’re finally built and opened up.
