So peaceful. I have never personally caught a fish here but I almost did today I just didn't set hook correctly which was my fault but I seen a big one chasing my lure so it has definitely inspired me to go back. Nice trail to ride your bike too easy for kids

So peaceful and serene. Took my son on a bike ride and fishing. Got skunked but that's ok all that matters is we spent time outside and got him off his iPad lol..

This could and should be a picture perfect spot for family fishing, especially for the little ones. However, there is an encampment in the bushes near the small pond concrete patio that is getting bigger and bigger, as is the heap of related trash and debris. I realize that there is a housing crisis here in the Bay Area and nobody, let alone me has a quick fix for it. But the behavior and language of those living there is less than ideal and I would not be comfortable bringing my child here. Its sad, but the Niles District surely does not have the resources to remedy the situation anymore than our big cities do.
