Hi Francisco! The Smokehouse is a one and only location and has been at the Chinatown location since 2005. We are a family owned, operated and created small business. We didn't really know what we were getting into by opening in downtown back then but we're happy we did. Thanks for stopping by!
It's always a toss up when we get in the neighborhood of the Smokehouse and Cielito Lindo tacos at Olvera Street. But unless we are having a taco attack we head for the Smokehouse. Great food, fair prices and real kitschy ambience. Love the Please!
Don't know who owns and don't think it's a chain but boy is the bbq good, melts in your mouth. We had brisket, rib tips, pork ribs and hot links alook amazing.
I appreciate your sense of humor will. Thank you. I agree david- fair prices and it does have a real kitschy ambience, which totally fits into the downtown vibe that I enjoy. Thank you Paula for taking time to answer. Lastly, self-identified sss owner... Congrads. 13 years in business is no easy feat, especially as a small family owned business. Continued sucess! I wish I had heard this or had been introduced to any of your family in my visit. I really enjoy personal interactions, because im a big supporter of family restaurants and good food. Thanks again, for taking the time to respond.
Mr. Spring owns it. Never seen another one, but it's possible. The universe is a big place. There are lots of chefs on the chef team. They opened in downtown because it's cool, and they named the street after the owner and the restaurant. How can you say no?
