coming for 3 days without a car is it easy to walk to shop restaurants etc .also can you smoke! at any of the outdoor areas at the hotel for example have a coffee or drink an a cigarette.many thanks .

We rented a car, car hire company is next to hotel. Public transport not good, very awkward. Spend the money hire a car and venture out.

I just stayed here last weekend. The only places you can eat are on hotel grounds or a subway across the street. You will have to walk over a draw bridge or about a mile the other direction if you want more choices. They do offer a shuttle to the beach so you can take that for more food choices as well, but i wouldn't stay here again. Little to far out of the way for my taste.

There are a few places walking distance from the hotel. You do have to walk uphill across the draw bridge for most of them towards the city. There are plenty of boardwalk-style bars and restaurants towards the beach side. As far as I know, they do have non-smoking rooms but I'm sure there are smoking areas and rooms that do allow smoking outside.
