My husband is having heart sugery soon, how many visitors can he have? I was told one a time, and today was told he can only have 1 vistor per day? We have a big family and are very concerned, since the outcome is not good.

Mercy General has a Covid procedure limiting how many visitors a patient may have. A total of two people may be on the visitation list and only one person is allowed to visit at a time. I had a family member who was admitted for 10 days. I visited daily and they did not restrict me to a time limit, although I did leave at 9pm at the end of visiting hours at each visit. One time, a family friend had visited just an hour or so before I checked in at the lobby. Security did have me standby while they called the ward to make sure the prior visitor had already left before letting me proceed upstairs. You should bring an iPad or tablet with you and take advantage of the hospital's free wifi. Then you can facetime/Zoom with extended family because they want to limit the number of visitors and potential covid exposure.
