My dad has lived in a Nursing Home for 4 years and has been on Medicaid for 3 1/2 years. His pension and social security goes to the Nursing home and he is alloted $50 per month. Will he have to file Income Taxes? He has little in the bank.

Is he allotted the $50 from his Medicare money? If it is you've already paid taxes on it.

Usually anyone receiving any form of income is required to file income taxes.
