I will be moving my car registration to SC (from NC) in 10/2020. Current NC registration expires 7/31/20, but, there is a 5 month extension to do this registration. If I do this extension, will SCDMV new registration care that NC regist is extended?

Yes it is. First thing you should do though is take the NC registration to the SC tax office and pay your property tax on the vehicle. You need to do this before you can register in SC and you can use the receipt as one of your proofs of address.

Put another way, is it ok to go to SCDMV with the valid / extended registration when transferring vehicle to SC?
