If I moved to SC from WV and have 2 leased vehicles would I have to get new license plates? I thought maybe keep the same plates until the lease runs out. Is that possible?

According to state law, all new residents are legally required to change over their driver's license and license plates to South Carolina within 45 days of moving to the state. That's the law, but it is not hard-line enforced (there are cars here that have plates that expired from SC several years ago still running around daily, and out-of-state cars that also have several years out of date plates - so if you want to take the chance, go ahead). The police can and DO remove the plates of vehicles that have expired ones, so you don't HAVE to get new plates, but the law does require it.
