My father-in-law is almost 93. He still has a driver's license, a car, and of course insurance. His neighbor takes him to doctor's appointments in his car. As long as he pays his insurance, does he have to have a license if someone else is driving

Check with DMV and your insurance agent to be sure because I can't speak from a DMV, legal standpoint, or as an insurance professional. I understand that one doesn't HAVE to have a driver's license to own and insure a car. I have heard that it is much less expensive to insure if one has a license, so it might be beneficial to keep the license if convenient.

Not sure, contact the DMV.
