The last time I went to oil changers , I sought to have my coolant and oil change. After they began servicing my truck an employee presented me with a paper to sign. It was a disclosure limitting them from liability if something went wrong with my coolant change. Needless to say, I did not sign the disclosure and told them not to perform the coolant change. The said okay. Since that incident my engine had been running really hot and consuming a lot of coolant. It had never done this before. Just last week while in Oakland picking up my wife, I discovered my coolant resovoir was completely empty. And now my truck is making an unfamiliar sound. Although they did not tell me , I believe they began they coolant service before they gave the disclosure. And because they did they kept silent about it after I did not sign the disclosure and ask them not to perform the service. I've been having problems with oil changers. You may not. But be warned .
Make sure you have a dip stick and if you dont you must know how to pull up the level of the oil. They are not able to help with that
