Gibson is a sports and recreation park. 2 soccer fields, baseball field, 2 playgrounds and a pavillion. Direct parking and access to the greenway. There is no body of water in the park and no fishing.
Yes! Gibson Park offers three fishing ponds stocked with a variety of fish. The pond has recently been stocked with 900 trout. There are no fees to fish, but anglers are required to have a basic NC fishing license.

There ARE 3 bodies of water at the park with a little creek but ask a park guide what the ponds are stocked with and if it's ok to fish there with permission
