How flooded does the trail become? Is it possible to complete the 10+miles with regular sneakers on a day such as today (after a few weeks of scattered rainstorms) without soaking through shoes? Are there any ways/paths around the wet areas?

The trail gets muddy. Its hit or miss. Will your shoes get muddy....deffently. Soaked through is another story all together. It sounds like maybe you might enjoy the trail better during the dry season which generally starts around Oct
