They do buy books. They also take donations. They cut off buying books about an hour before closing time and I would recommend calling ahead if you got a bunch of stuff or something you feel is really valuable. It may save you the trip if they are unable to handle the volume or value of something at any given time. They also do consignments of less common items.
Yes, just don't get alot. Just to get rid of stuff laying around.
