RPX had to do with the ambiance; sound, seating, bigger screen and concessions. Unrelatedly, IMAX is a film formatting and projection standard that provides an enhanced viewing experience. Two different things.

RPX is regal premium experience - It's regal way of charging a premium for a movie calling it better viewing experience and totally not worth the xtra cost.
