Asus makes a decent laptop that's sub $200 at the big box stores. No need to deck out on memory or processor specs if all you're doing is FT8. A recent Celeron processor is more than capable. I've been running many digital modes on computers as small as a raspberry pi.
Any laptop produced within the last 15 years will probably be fine. Multicore processors with a few gig of memory and you'll be on the air. As a benefit, try to have USB 3.0.
Try a used laptop, with an i3 or better. Should be able to find one for 100 to 150.
Sorry I don't know I wish I could help
