I'd contact Jim Staples at the Tampa office and then stay far away from invitation homes as you can
I read there was a class action lawsuit against Invitation Homes in California regarding illegal late fees. Perhaps you can start a class action lawsuit for not returning deposits and bogus deposit deductions...from reading the reviews it sounds like Invitation does this to everyone. Maybe also start a class action lawsuit to retroactively lower rent for excessive periods of inhabitable conditions, which sounds fairly common as well. .
This is the worst possible company to rent from. What does it take to get anyone from the TAMPA office to call you back??? I would never recommend this company! It’s a nightmare trying to get anything done. No one communicates.
You won't be getting your deposit back. You will get a letter in the mail detailing the charges upon your moveout inspection. The charges quite possibly will be more than your security deposit. By Florida Law, you have to receive your security deposit within 15 days if there are no charges. If they do plan to impose a claim on your deposit, by law, you are required to be notified with an itemized list within 30 days.
We're trying to get a hold of someone there too. We've had so much trouble renting from them too.

Tell me about it, I doubt they will give me anything back
