Yes, there's chance of being able to wrangle an empty one otherwise; but you might find yourself being forced to share space with anyone who wandered over, intruding on someone else's reservation and have to vacate early, or it just not happening at all. Better not to take the chance...

Pavillions are as much as $250 a day. Depends which one you go for. Gotta talk to the guy Al from the park office and pray it isnt already reserved. They open reservations back in november for weddings, etc.
