They actually do accept insurances for all Covid tests the entIre duration of Covid and this center decided to mark it as$80 when they were also free to all Americans about the first year of Covid.
According to all the health insurance companies we participate with, they will not pay for elective medical testing. So if you come in and ask for a test, and you are not seen by a doctor for a medical reason who performs a medical assessment and decides to order a test as part of that assessment, the insurance company will not pay for the test. That's why we charge for a test when someone comes in and asks for a test but isn't seen by a doctor for an urgent care visit. It's the only way we can get paid for the work that gets done and the materials that are used. This morning's shipment of rapid test materials was found to be defective shortly after the office opened for business. Once that was discovered the office could no longer continue to offer those tests and hopefully all who were on line waiting were notified of same.
They definitely do NOT accept insurance for any covid tests! A rip off! PLUS they kept us waiting in line for an hour and didn't tell us they were out of rapid tests until we were at the front of the line! Avoid these people!
