As this is the Season of Miracles, I want to comment on "The Miracle of OLOM". Thanks to Our Lady Of Mercy, my family and I were blessed to have my husband five years longer than expected. The nurses and direct-care staff are expert and caring; the facility is immaculate; the food is delicious; the rehabilitation services are outstanding; and the administration subscribes to the highest standards of professional excellence. Sure...not everything is perfect, but when you consider the challenges we all face in today's environment and complicated health care system, there is no doubt in my mind that OLOM's star shines brighter than the rest. I am, therefore, giving them a 5 star rating---only because 10 stars is not an option.

Seems that most of the negative reviews are from recently. Perhaps some of you should take that sentiment to State officials who threw the elderly under the bus with their March 25th order. These facilities, for all practical purposes, were coerced by the State which licenses them to do something which led to thousands dying. The staff here couldn’t have been more responsive when my Mom was a resident. If you had a question or needed something they would drop everything and resolve the issue immediately. I sincerely doubt most of those complaining would be able to put up with the sheer garbage and stress these employees have had to deal with for the past year. 1 star taken away for cosmetic reasons. The place does need an upgrade.

I am appalled by Eileen Price , the Nursing Director at this facility , who told me no one is suffering by not seeing their families. I said , “please don’t tell me no one is suffering “ then she proceeded to hang the phone up on me ! She is rude , lacks compassion and very unprofessional ! She should not be in the nursing field!!

My mother-in-law was here for rehab. The mood of the staff was simply said, gloomy. It seemed as if each one hated their jobs and it came across in their treatment of patients and family. Terrible lack of communication with family. Part of a healthy rehab requires a healthy environment. Our Lady does not provide this. Before placing a loved one at one of these facilities make sure to interact with the staff. If they seem cold and distant then know that will translate to the care of your loved one.

Levels of care?
The hospital sent my mother there. I don't know otherwise. Possibly his primary doctor.
