I believe they are all right. I know when I brought my brothers brand new truck down to the Hurst, TX area they were shocked that there was no taxes on it. There was a 4.25% document fee. That's it. Now here in Tarrant Keller, Texas it's a wee bit different. The title fee is $33, plus motor-vehicle sales tax ***6.25 percent***. There is also a $2.50 transfer of a current registration fee. If the license is not current, there may be a registration fee. Salles tax is paid on the actual price or 80% of the Standard Presumptive Value ***whichever is the higher amount. We also have to go one place for the inspection and another for registration. This felt so odd to me since I lived in the GREAT state of Delaware until I was 34 and I am 57 now.
