This was historically Fox Hills Catholic Cemetery and even has relatives of former Holy Roman Emporers buried within the Mausoleum. For decades, many catholic generations of families have been buried here, since it was the last remaining catholic Cemetery in West LA. Observing Sabbath is important, but my father, grandfather, grandmother , 2 aunt's & 1 uncle are all buried here. Not once in my 47years on this earth, was visiting their graveside prohibited on ANY day of the week. This saddens me somewhat but I'm certain it made my father roll over in his grave at least once. I'm sure when he said his father down, he didn't think my generation would be realizing a change in the religious affiliation of his final resting place. Family should have been notified in a more organized manner. You can't even do a headstone search off the webpage. All 10,000 souls buried there before it became Hillside, were born Catholic & died Catholic. Now u have to be Jewish to be buried here?? 👎
