Why is there no upkeep? The grass was dry! Homeless people living in the cemetery and just outside of it!

We went to see historic figure Maria Rasputin daughter of the one and only Rasputin. The experience was very enlightening, the grave yard very beautiful and well taken care off especially on how old it is.

This cemetery is run by dishonest crooks. They claim they have no record of my relative's contract. When brought proof of payment, they claim the contract is invalid even though it has their name and shows the arrangements were paid for. These crooks have given us four different ever increasing quotes. Their behavior is fraudulent and despicable. As if losing a loved one isn't enough, they increase the trauma and distress by being deceitful and greedy.

Historic Los Angeles cemetery. Although Hattie McDaniel is here, the entirety of the graveyard is even more interesting. First, there are incredible family crypts, pyramids, and statuary here. It's fascinating to walk through and see the various sections that document Los Angeles' history. Rosedale was also the first cemetery open to all races and religions in Los Angeles. While it is true that the grass is brown in many places, I don't feel like it detracts from the place. There is a beauty and peacefulness here. Lots of old trees and consequently, some urban wildlife. I regularly see a pair of red tailed hawks that live here. While visiting hours are limited, it's worth taking some time to explore this beautiful bit of Los Angeles history.

Iit need water so it been beautiful there at the cemetery
The cemetery is open on the weekend but on sunday i think they close at 3pm.
(I can't tell when you asked this question...) Clyde Grimes, Jr., is buried near his father, near the southwest corner of the cemetery, about halfway between the road and the fence. If you visit during office hours, the cemetery staff can give you the exact location. Our local history group honored father and son as part of our annual tour of the cemetery, in September 2017.
