Is using an internet phone considered the same as a landline? My mother has internet phone. Thanks!

My mother uses an internet phone (VOIP) with Bay Alarm without any issues.

I think you need a landline. Call and check. If so, there still may be a company that allows other types of phones. Good luck.

No, my mother was not comfortable with a cell phone. The land linr unit worked great. She has very poor cell phone servive in the small AZ town she lives in and all the alatm systems use AT&T. Almost as bad as CenturyStink!
