Must you live in the victorville area to sign up for roadside assistance in the victorville branch? I just wanna have aaa so when I leave out of state tomorrow I'll be secure.

AAA is statewide. You can sign up online or by phone. It's easy.

I have been a member for 30 years. Have used it many times. Live in Cali. Just used it in Victorville and I live about 2 hours away. Also used it in Missouri for a flat tire in September. I don't know about a waiting period because I have had so long.

I think their current policy is that if you are a first time member, they make you wait one week after you sign up before you can utilize their towing service. You'll need to check that with them to be sure. And I think you don't have to domicile in the immediate area. They are just trying to avoid someone signing up needs an immediate tow.
