Fishing there is best up-river jusr a tad at Effie Year Nature Center.
Not good area. Grew up in the area and never been good.
My husband and kids go fishing here all the time, they dont have much luck but if you go down a little further down towards Arden they've caught some bass and we have seen some pretty big Carp.

The river has trout and seasonal samon. There is also a pond with bass and sun fish

I used to go fishing there all the time never caught anything. except one time after they released a bunch of little seal head from the Fish Hatchery Upstream.
Lot's of people, actually. Usually 1st thing in the morning or around 2 hours before closing. Sometimes the area is shallow, too.
