I'm an atheist but I have a lot of stress and issues that I've been dealing with and putting myself through the last two years. Would confessional help relieve this weight on my back even though I'm an atheist? I can't vent to anyone i know.

Catholic beliefs have confession. However you can confess to the Lord and ask for forgiveness. The weight you are feeling may be God calling you to reach out to him.
