Also make sure the address on your ID matches the address on the package. I ran into this issue when retrieving a package for a friend. The employee was nice enough to allow me to pick up the package with a signed note from my friend though. Your mileage may very though.
Yes you can, but you have to make sure it is being held for you, if you come looking for it and it's not being held then you can't pick it up,
