Unfortunately did not catch the name of the gentleman that assisted me on the phone today 8/3/22 @1534 but he was more than helpful, kind, and informative. Typically when dealing with the unified government It’s been a bad experience but wanted to make note that today was an exception.

Bottom line - The final rep I dealt with was rude, unfriendly and unhygienic. She should be written up. Staff in general (and particularly phone) uninformed on what is needed. "Policies" as a whole seem arbitrary and not posted online nor in person. Reception was friendly, as well as multiple reps - however any aspect of customer service is severely overshadowed by the poor management and incomplete information (on mgmt.) Visit 1 - I looked online, made a list, and called prior to going in to confirm we had the paperwork we needed. When we got there they said we did not. "They told you wrong on the phone, you need THESE forms". Rep was friendly but misinformation very frustrating. Visit 2 - I called AGAIN prior to confirm we had the correct information, and since my wife couldn't be there, did we need anything different? I put together the paperwork I was told to on the phone for her absence. Showed up - "Sorry that won't work, they told you wrong on the phone, you need THIS paper". Rep was friendly but misinformation very frustrating. Visit 3 - Same day. Different rep. Rep says, "we can only do two title transactions at the counter." I explained to her no other rep said that. "I don't know what they told you but that's our policy." I asked to see a supervisor, and asked for that policy in writing - she couldn't find it, and so "graciously" made an exception to their made up rules. And the rep. Awful rep. Rude, deliberately slow and unhygienic. Digging in her ear, rubbing her eyes, scratching face, all while never sanitizing or washing hands (she did that at the end after she had handed everything back...). It took her over 75 mins to process these very straightforward titles. It's pretty sad when other customers tell you "you have the patience of a saint" on your way out of the door. Why isn't the website more complete? Why aren't "policies" made aware to the public to prevent multiple trips and issues? These are simple things. Do better Wyandotte County. I doubt anyone will reach out for this, but I would be more than happy to share my experience should they wish to get feedback.

Month later and husband STILL waiting on sticker for tags in mail. You should redo website that says 5- 7 days cause I know people still waiting 2 months later also. If you guys are gonna do it the drop box way cause of covid you really need to get a better system going to get them out faster

They are only doing new vehicles, but you have to get on line and get a number
Yes.
How do I do a name change on a new auto vehicle
They are open until 5:00pm but cut offs for check-in is 2:00pm Monday and Friday, and 3:30 Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. As in, you can't "get in line" after check-ins close. Not saying I like it, but that's why they didn't let you get a number.
KS highway patrol vehicle inspection form, previous registration and proof of insurance. You need to get the vehicle inspected before going to the DMV. There are 2 locations, they are located at 3101 S. 24th Street, Kansas City, KS, as well as the rest area/KSHP inspection site off I-70 W, just west of Exit 415, in Kansas City, KS
If the car was purchased in ks and has a ks title you do not need an inspection. Just an appoiment with your local dmv. But if it's from another state with out of state title, it will need an inspection and than a appointment with your local dmv. Any vehicle purchased with an out of state title will need an inspection from your local highway patrol station.
Yes you should be able to as long as there is proof you reside in WYANDOTTE County.
Yes there is a drop box, just put all ur documents in an envelope and indicate tge service u want on it and drop it. My registration was done like that.
How do I get my disable parking sticker renewed
What's the best way to pay my property taxes
Yes
Yes, we were closed for 2 wks for remodeling but we are open again
Cash, check (with proper ID) and Credit/debit cards (they do charge a fee)
How to obtain a passport??
The Appraiser's Office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Friday, March 30, the office will be closed for the holiday.
I'm not sure if you can for the annex the do have a drive thru that is good if all your doing is renewing
So how long you planning on being paranoid about the Democrat made virus that's right you liberals did it
Not right now, you have to make an appointment
No sir, sorry the drive thru is no longer open,, but there is a handicap placard renewal form you can fill out then you will just drop it in the grey drop box at the west entrance and the new placards will be mailed to you.
What service are you needing?
They say up to 10 buisness days.
No you must have an appointment you'll need to go online to do so
If you are doing a renewal you will need to put your renewal paper, check or money order in drop box at the annex and they will mail your sticker to you. If you are doing new title work you will need to go online and make an appointment.
New plates do need an appointment (at least at the time of my response, June 29, 2021). The appointments do go into August and the security guards up front are strict about it. They told me to make an appointment and if you get pulled over, show your appointment confirmation and hope they don't ticket you anyways. Occasionally a closer time will crop up but don't count on it. Currently all plate renewals are online for future reference. It sucks but the DMV tends to be that way
It takes 2weeks and it will be send to ur address
Ur renewal documents The payment by money order Your address phone number put everything in the envelope
There is a drop off box you just need your tag information, your insurance and your money order. Just make sure the know your tag number and who you are.
As of right now you can't because their website will stop working. They open at 8 if you get there at 745 the first 15 people in line will get waited on and anyone after that will receive a number.
It wasn't open when I was there. I really think that is close.
I believe it is but I am not 100% sure. A person dropped off something while they were closed supposedly. Let me explain. Because of the pandemic I wanted to check it there was some useful info by the window or something for me to try to go the next day (went there like 10 min after they closed) the security guy came outside and talked to me then a person stopped by and he said that he wanted to drop off an envelope and the security guy said go ahead and he did so... unless they take it inside or put some kind of lock, I really think it should be open. It's right by the door/entrance.
No u have 2 get in line on the wycokck.org website
You have to go online and get a number go to Wyandotte County website / Auto and you can get a number

A bill of sale
Yes
No it does not work. I hate to say it but people are lining up at 4am so they can get in. I went on Tuesday and they are only taking 50 people a day. You can't get in unless you have one of the tickets they pass out at 8. They do have an option to go online to do what you need to get done. The website is posted on their front door. I tried that two days ago and I'm still waiting to hear back so I can get my car tagged
MyWyco you can pay online Plus the governor gave us until August 1st to renew our tag's

https://prod.awesome-q.com/Online/wy Here’s the link to the online check in.
The best way to pay is with check because with a credit or debit card it does have you pay an extra fee in order to pay
You can go online and find the online checkin and log in so that you can be ahead of the game.
If they need it they will send your renewal back. If not, they will just process it for you
You could always call in a week to give them your insurance policy number. Or they might call you. That's really all you can do
been closed all the month of may why, doesnt take a month to get a part?
Go online to the https://prod.awesome-q.com/Online/wy copy and past that. You welcome.
You have to go into one of the offices.
