When does the building open to the public before the nutcracker matinee today? My mother in law wants to arrive 90 minutes early to look around but i told her it probably won't be open. For certain answers please... people guessing won't help.

We showed up last Saturday an hour ahead of time, there were already quite a few people there. We strolled around and had time to leisurely enjoy a hot cocoa by the gift shop. We didn't try to get into the theater until about 10 minutes prior.

Building will be open then but you won't be able to see inside the performance halls.

To be honest my wife and I always go to The Nutcracker on Sundays and for the Sunday matinee the 2 pm show they open the doors at 12. I can't imagine they would do too much different on Saturday. That's my response. I wish you luck and if you're really curious they don't mind calls at all.
