The historic Folly Theater has been a performance home for the group I've performed most with over the last 25 years. It's a beautiful venue and the staff has always been a delight. Love performing there, love seeing concerts and shows there. Support historic Kansas City!

Had a wonderful time at The Folly Theater last night. Beautiful venue, however I hope that you may begin starting the shows reminding guests that the auditorium is built for acoustics, therefore the sounds of whispering and gum chewing carry. While these things detracted from our experience, the venue itself was great.

It’s a beautiful theater with comfortable seats and a lot of legroom. Driving to the theatre is a bit of a headache because traffic is so backed up going through the parking gates. Getting in to the theater is another hassle due to lack of signage and staff to redirect people. Lobby is small. Concessions are right at the door when you enter so crowd flow gets a bit of a challenge again. It needs a bit of restructuring to ease the flow of crowd. Otherwise, it’s a great theater!!

Yes, certainly. Depending on the nature of the event, of course. We love to see children at music concerts! How else are they going to learn to love music and behave respectfully at concerts if they don't attend. Please do bring your kids!

There is no dress code. Each event has its own vibe. If you like to dress up when you go out, that is appropriate. If there is a casual Friday dress code where you work, use that.
