Refunds are given in a hurricane situation where the guest purchases travel insurance and there is a mandatory hurricane evacuation declared by State/Local authorities. Ward Realty uses Generali Global Assistance (at the time of this post) for travel insurance and this insurance can be purchased at the time of booking your reservation up until 30 days prior to arrival. Please note that travel insurance must be purchased before the named storm develops, and that any refund is given directly by the travel insurance company, once a claim has been filed by the guest and processed. Please reach out to them for exact details regarding coverage events, how to file, how much of a refund you may be entitled to and any other questions. (https://www.vacationrentalinsurance.com)

You need to check with the realty company. I know you can purchase insurance in case something like that happens.
