Hello, I'm trying to decide if I'm going to start coming again and if I'll keep my membership. Are masks still required all the time indoors, or are face shields also allowed? I'm not sure how I'll do with more heavy exercise with a mask. Thanks!

Masks at all times. I think there is a limit of 50 people indoors ( or will be Wednesday).

when will the ymca be opening back up?

Hello Heather, We are requiring face coverings for everyone in our facility ages 5 and older except when in the pool or hot tub. In regards to the recent "two-week pause in Jackson County" we released this statement to our members. As you may know, the Y is more than a gym, encompassing a child care center, an aquatics center, a fitness center, and a gymnastics/sports court area. We would like to assure our members that we are continuing to monitor the capacity levels of each area of the Y, as we have since reopening June 1. We have been able to stay under the 50 person per area threshold since we opened on June 1st and will continue to do so during this two-week pause. The health and safety of our members and our staff are of the utmost importance to us and we will continue to follow guidelines set by the Governor's office.
