The Raynham donation center takes all types of donations now whether it be whole blood, platelets or plasma. They have 12 or so machines that separate platelets and plasma from whole blood or you can do a regular whole blood donation. The compensation you get is knowing that you helped potentially save someone's life! Cookies, crackers, juice and water are free after you donate. The staff is top notch and you can watch free Netflix while you donate.
This is a blood donation center, not a plasma center. While they can take plasma they only have 1 or 2 stations for this and the rest are for blood donation. Plasma can take up to an hour to collect so you will want to locate a plasma donation center. This can be done on several sites that will even provide maps. This Red Cross does do promotions from time to time offering gift cards for your appointment. I say your appointment and not your blood because prior to giving blood you need to answer a questionnaire and be accessed. If you are not a qualified blood donar they will often provide you with the gift card for coming in. These gift cards are usually in the amount of $5.
