I have a JEEP Commander. The check-engine light came on and I have learned it is a P0456 error message. I have tried reseating the gas cap and that did not help. I will buy a new gas cap and see if that helps. How long before it goes away?

Yes. It finally went off but not sure why it lit up. I filled up the gas tank and messed with the gas cap.
