Deals Gap Motorcycle Resort - All questions

Address: 17548 Tapoco Rd, Robbinsville, NC 28771, USA

JOHN | Jun 22, 2020

Brett, let me suggest another option. Consider staying in Robbinsville or better yet the Tapoco Lodge. A historic and charming place. That will allow you to still travel the famous "Tail of the Dragon" also called Deals Gap. I was down in that area last weekend and was disappointed that the Fontana Dam Village Lodge was closed with no reopening date In site. The Tapoco was open and is really a better experience. I encourage you to give the area a try.

No, you don't have to have a motorcycle to stay there. People in cars and trucks do it all the time.

Yes it is specifically a motorcycle resort with limited space for parking car or even tow rigs.

anybody can stay there. everybody is totally cool with it

I've just returned from staying there. I've been there often and I camp inside their facilities. I always go in a car as I enjoy the Tail of the Dragon as much as any motorcyclist would. The motel is usually made up of motorcyclists staying there but everyone is friendly and it doesn't matter what you drive. Book ahead because the motel seldom has vacancies.

Yeah, it's a motorcycle resort. Try Tapoco Lodge. It's close

Thanks! Come from Canada every year and like to stay at different places every year if I can. Will have a truck and trailer and car so maybe not ideal lol
