The closest train station to Spaulding in Charlestown is North Station which is about 1-3/4 miles away. Partners runs a shuttle from Spaulding to North Station and you can get the schedules and track the shuttle's actual location by using the Partner's app on your phone. In my personal experience, it's a bit painful but many employees use it every day. Other public transit options include the #93 bus (and walk about 1/2 mile unless you are lucky to catch the less frequent navy yard bus) or the Charlestown-Long Wharf Ferry which is also about a 1/2 mile away.

I believe so. A lot of employees come to work via train or bus transfer. I haven't personally, as I drove there and stayed with my husband there for 2 months.
