are there any alligators around the area?

Yes

The saying is if there's water there's a gator. I've seen a few through the extended area and even at the dock once. They tend to shy away from more populated areas but the creek connects to Lake Toho and there are tons of gators in there. So, fair assumption is yes, there are gators in the area.

I didn't see any lakes on the roads I was on.
