I purchased two skeins of Maxima fair trade merino wool.
I wish to make a cowl with it. The needle I'll use is round and metal.
I wonder "how many stitches I should cast on."
Do I need both skeins for the cowl? There are 19 yds. on each skein.

I suggest you look at the Rivalry or Red heart or Lion Brand websites , all free patterns, to find free cowl patterns. They will have the exact amount of yarn and needle types to answer your question, I always go there. Best of luck with your new project !!
