We stopped in Northampton for a night while driving from NJ to VT. We have family there so I've been there many times, but it was my daughters' first time coming through. Visiting Thornes was an absolute must, especially Herrell's! According to my almost-4-year-old: "My favorite part of the road trip was when I got ice cream" We also enjoyed Cedar Chest and Acme Surplus a lot and found some nice toys that the kids (almost-4 and almost-1.5) played with in the car. The kiosk cafe places are great, too. We got sandwiches that were sooooo good and lavender lemonade that my mom said was clearly going to be a memorable highlight of her trip (high praise considering the rest of our plans for this trip). We brought chocolates from the chocolate kiosk place that were greatly enjoyed by all (and made a great last-minute hostess gift to my Aunt for inviting us to stay for a week). They had all sorts of creative flavors and the chocolates were beautiful and (most importantly) tasty! I've always loved Thornes; it has neat shops and a fun layout with cool staircases because it's an old building. This time I was there with a stroller and found that they did a great job of retrofitting the building to make it accessible for wheeled patrons. I'm not really surprised, because Northampton has a very welcoming spirit, but I hadn't really considered it when I didn't need the ramps.

Nice spot to spend some time. Eclectic shops allow you to find that unique gift or something to treat yourself. Right in the heart if downtown Northampton, on street parking is limited but there is a parking garage that connects to the stores.

This is really one of the cooler malls that I have been around. They have at least three bookstores. There's not really any bookstores left because a lot of people don't read books anymore. There's l high-end tailors, and all kinds of awesome retail, chocolate, coffee, ice cream, and I could just go on and on but I won't. I'll just tell you, it's all amazing!

Thorne's Marketplace is one of my favorite places to shop! It has unique boutiques, interesting shops with lots of fun gifts. Salespeople are kind and knowledgeable. You can shop, grab a quick cup of coffee as well as dinner at Cornucopia! I highly recommend Thorns

We think Mary Ann did a great job answering your question. The Blue Marble in Thornes also has some women's clothes. And if you are looking for a great pair of shoes to go with your new outfit we have Footbeats for Women.
