Caution- for those who love yarn and yarn crafts. But be warned- there is a LOT to see and the money will fly out of your wallet. The front of the store is regular priced yarn, a lot of in season weights and colors, and notions needed for knitting or crochet. They do have a beautiful selection of just about any yarn you need. In the back store room, there are aisles of discounts of overstock, out of season, or other yarns. This shop has great prices when you buy the skeins in bulk. Definitely recommend for your next yarn craft project.

Love this place. Everyone is so helpful. It's always neat and organized. Shopping at the physical location is so much better than online as you can see the colors and feel the yarn or other items in person. A must for those tactile people.

Beautiful selection of yarns of all fibers, plus knitting needles and crochet hooks. The Valley Yarns brand has great options too. I love visiting the shop but I’ve also had good luck buying online when I needed more skeins to finish a project. It helps to know exactly what colors you want before buying online.

It's America's yarn store for a reason: great selection, helpful staff, and classes too! They even have a computer where you can search Ravelry for patterns. And they'll print out PDF's for you - in color! Every fiber artist needs to visit at least once.

We do still have some of the Baby Cashmerino Tonals left (find it here https://bit.ly/2IFCvsG), but we don't have any of the solid colors any longer!
We have updated the care instructions for Valley Yarns 8/2 Cotton to machine wash and dry. It will take time for the labels to be updated, but we do have the latest information for the yarn on yarn.com. Please note that if your item includes fringe, we do recommend laying flat to dry.
Yes, I've seen roving there as well as spinning wheels.
Check out the Back room - lots of bargains on discontinued yarns & colors. Perfect for beginning Knitters or charity projects.
Hi Marsha! We have a lot of different options that would work for a project like this. I would probably suggest giving our team a call at 1-800-367-9327. That would be the quickest way to find an option that would be suitable for your project!
We are closed on Monday July 4th. We apologize for any inconvenience!
According to ravelry. com, you normally use a US size 13 - 15 needle for Pacific Bulky yarn, but it depends on how your swatch comes out.
We do ship internationally including to Canada! You can see all our shipping information here https://www.yarn.com/pages/shipping-information!
According to their website they are closed both days.
Hi there! We aren't aware of a yarn just called Shades. But there are some that have the word in their name. One of the more popular ones is from Universal Yarns and is called Classic Shades. Do you have any additional information on the yarn you're looking for?
Simple answer - Yes you will need both.
All drop ins are on hiatus until it's safe to restart. It is on their website under drop ins.
They have classes for knitting, weaving, and spinning. Contact them for a schedule.
Call the store and maybe they help you over the phone.
No.
You can order one from the store's online shop... www.yarn.com. Then search for gift cards. An option to by gift cards should come up.
Yes per their website. https://www.yarn.com/pages/retail-store
Not familiar with the Bronx store, but this store is Webs, and their tag line is "America's Yarn Store.". They carry all sorts of yarns, for knitting, crochet, spinning, and weaving. Plus they carry the tools you need to knit, crochet, spin, or weave. The prices are very competitive and the yarns are all reputable brands. It is both a walk-in store, and an online store, and it is only located in Northampton, MA, to the best of my knowledge.
Yes
They just recently listed madelinetosh DK and sock Yarns in an exclusive Patriots colorway.
I don't know, but you should check the online info for current hours.
The tips correspond to their size.
The Webs staff had answered questions very quickly so I think the advice to call or email them is good. Webs had quite a selection of yarn and I'm confident that they will be able to help you.
