I agree with John. However, if you like to dress up it's totally appropriate there. Also try Michaels on East. They have a great piano bar and it's fairly close by.
Khakis and a dress shirt is fine. No jacket/tie/ required by the same token - no flip flops or shorts and you are good Mr. Johnson.
