i know it's a "nature at it's best" kinda place...but having said that, they tell me u can swim/ enter the water...& maybe it's just me😬but i tend to be afraid of poisonous snakes, & gators😳. is there a designated area for that & is it freshwater?

Fresh water, no designated area. That said, in my 31 years, I've never seen a gator or snake where people are actively swimming.
