Hi Rick, The surgery is 1 hour. Recovery is 6 weeks in a boot and about two more weeks of swelling decline in a shoe after coming out of the boot.

My recovery time was 6 to 8 weeks. I got my toe wet, and the recovery time was a bit longer than the expected 6 weeks.
