I've been panhandled more professionally than this office is run. I showed up a half hour early for my appointment, the first thing I was told, by the receptionist, was not to expect anything from her because she's been on vacation. On top of that they blew the appt., then Miss Vacation tells me she's going to "squeeze" me in, like I already owe her a favor. I guess they "squeeze" medical services in over there. I grabbed my license and insurance card and ran for life. Not like they followed up or anything.

I couldn't ask for better care. I'm so grateful and fortunate I was able to have my bunion surgeries performed by Dr. Baravarian and Dr. Johnson. They are topnotch...the Doctors you have always wished you had... elegant, dedicated, kind, with a gentle sense of humor that makes you feel totally taken care of... All of my questions were answered... The entire staff is just as awesome. (I was able to have my pre-surgical visits at the Sherman Oaks location and my actual surgeries in Beverly Hills.)

Dr. Baravarian was incredibly informative and thorough and his expertise revealed a special condition of my injury that another specialist did not see. My favorite part of seeing him is that he specializes in minimal invasive surgeries because who wants to have their leg unnecessarily opened or have a gigantic scar on their leg? Also: he has optional therapies to increase healing but doesn’t pressure you to use them. I opted to do it for the best results though. He also immediately took action to get me scheduled for surgery which showed his commitment to my case and Cheli is amazing in explaining everything. Lastly, I appreciated that he allowed me to ask as many questions that I needed without feeling rushed. All in all, will always come back here for any foot or ankle injuries.

Dr. Briskin did a great job on my foot. However they take $250 upfront and state it is for the copay for your surgery, it is not. Please be aware that this company is separate from the surgery center upstairs. I paid that 250 up and when I checked in at the surgery center I was shocked when they asked me for the same amount again. I explained that I had already prepaid it downstairs and was informed that the two were separate entities. The manager allowed me to wait expecting to be paid back the deposit I had made. Time went by and eventually the billing office for the surgery center sent me to collections. I called and explained again and they said that they would remove the collection. I soon decided to pay the 250 out of pocket (again). 9 months later University Foot and Ankle states they are mailing me a check for my money back. Unfortunately I've already received a mark on my credit report, as the surgery center did not inform the agency that I had paid them in full. The collection agency now states they have confirmed it is paid and they will remove the mark from all three reports. I will follow up on that but you all should know of the additional headache you may incur as well as your foot pain if you come here for care.

Not very much. Most of our patients have very minor pain and usually require very little pain medication, if any at all.

Hi Rick, The surgery is 1 hour. Recovery is 6 weeks in a boot and about two more weeks of swelling decline in a shoe after coming out of the boot.
