Love the company. Product, staff and installation is outstanding. They will work with you to make sure you get what you really want and in a very timely fashion. A little more pricey but worth it when you are provided great product, service and staff who are knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. They keep you informed during the whole process from selection, ordering, measurements and installation. Plus they have a life time guarantee on their product and work. Very happy with the results.

UPDATE: I received a satisfactory response and attempt to correct these issues from Shade Store and am updating my rating. TL;DR: The Shade Store charges a luxury price point, but falls very short on delivering a service at that price. If I could go back and work with someone else, I would! I bought a new house and visited Shade Store to make and install drapes for my new home. The sales process went well, and I was told that it would take around 30 days for creation and install. I received several packages and the technician arrived as scheduled about 30 days after I ordered. He informed me that while part of my order was correct (and was installed as expected), Shade Store had mixed up measurements for the two living room windows. Mistakes happen - it's how you handle them that matter. Spoiler alert: Shade Store does not handle this well. The technician informed me that someone in customer service would reach out regarding this mix up and that new drapes would be ordered. No one reached out to me. I called the customer service line myself the next day, and was told that someone would follow up with me. After a few more days and calls, I finally got an automated email telling me that my re-order had been placed and that I could schedule installation another 30 days after that re-order date. Some acknowledgement that they had made a mistake (from a human, not an automated email!) was all I really wanted, and some basic questions answered about how we could make sure the next install goes well. I would leave VM's for the customer rep assigned to me as well as the sales associate I worked with at this location, and no one ever called me. A few weeks later, the new box of drapes arrives and the technician is here and he still can't install them because there are no rods here!! Apparently the last tech took them with him. When he called dispatch to inform them, they seemed very confused about the issue and said they would open a ticket. Based on my past experience with Shade Store customer service, I'm not expecting this to go well. I would strongly encourage you to shop around, unless of course you want to pay a lot of money for someone to f*ck up your window dressings.

I had a great experience at The Shade Store in Santa Monica. My wife and I purchased motorized roller shades for our bedroom and office. I had to be convinced to spend the extra money on motors and I am so glad I did! They are amazing and I can't believe I ever considered not getting them. We are so happy with our purchase. My entire experience with this company has been amazing. The design consultant, Jennifer, provided us with the best sales experience we have ever had. She was professional, knowledgeable about the products, patient and so responsive to our needs. I would highly recommend The Shade Store and Jennifer in particular. This company is definitely doing something right!

I used the Shade Store for all my drapes and shades in my home. It was a great experience from start to finish. Jennifer at the Santa Monica store was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She always responded very quickly when I had a question and she was a pleasure to work with. My husband and I chose to use The Shade Store installers in spite of the fact that my husband is a contractor. We were pleased we did. Tony and John were our installers. They were polite, friendly, efficient and knew exactly what they were doing. Overall, it was a great experience. We love our shades and drapes and we highly recommend The Shade Store.
