It's open all week and weekend but it is first come first serve. We went Friday morning about 11:00 but if you plan Saturday I would get out there before 10:00am maybe even 9:00 to get a better spot. Me I like to have a lot shade so look for trees and sun positions.
Just be careful because the little water fall at the creek, there are some big rocks falling from it, and the current of the creek is fast.
