Hi Jeff - I am the owner of JD Flannel. We are similar to Sidecar in that we make donuts from scratch in small batches throughout the day. On weekends, our donuts tend to be served warm as our window turn-over is high due to higher demand. On the weekdays, it is a little less likely that all of our donuts will be warm just because of a lower number of customers. We do not use any artificial flavors or preservatives in our donuts. I hope it is ok to say that Sidecar is very good at what they do...we just think we do things a little bit better! And unlike many of the gourmet donut shops, we do not shy away from the "classics," such as chocolate and maple donuts, crumble, fritters, and old fashioned donuts...but we also have plenty of non-traditional flavors as well such as brown butter sea salt, boysenberry, blueberry lemon, etc. Our menu, which changes monthly, can be found on our website at www.jdflannel.com. I am from our of state. I went here, and these donuts can't be beat. I don't remember if they are delivered warm or not, but it doesn't matter, because they taste amazing. These donuts are my favorite.
