I dont think you can swim there. Not really. It is about 45 min from the start point.
Its a small pond at the base of the waterall. Not much water when I was there in summer to swim.
Yes they did let people go in the water at the falls. It was about a one hour hike to the falls I think.

There is a waterfall hallway through the hike, 45 minutes (?), and the time of year determines how much water, if any, is at the waterfall.

There is water only during winter and spring. The hike takes about half an hour many steps not for people with hip or knee issues no pets
