If you're a Freedom lover.... don't get the Real ID. I was cautioned by a STATE employee that he would never apply for the.Real ID. He is going to stick with his passport and Old Drivers license for as long as he can.
You can go and wait in a long line or make an appt on line. I had an appt and while I was waiting I filled out the real ID form on my phone and got it the same day. But they mail you the ID it takes two to three weeks to get it. Was surprised I didn't walk out with it.
